This vacancy entails standard warehousing duties such as picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and general housekeeping. There are associated administration tasks such as scheduling of deliveries and data entry, as well as serving customers at our trade counter. The successful candidate would be required to obtain a forklift license and potentially a Medium Rigid truck license, in addition to already having a driver’s license. The position is full time 11.00am-7.30pm Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime or finishing early when all next day deliveries are finalised (but always paid for the full day). Reliability and safety awareness are crucial, and the candidate would need to be well-presented, organised and have attention to detail. The scale of the products the employer handles means that physical fitness is a must. The role does entail hard work and the occasional need to get your hands dirty.  They ideally require someone who is looking to settle in for the long term, and upon completion of the traineeship they would likely serve as 2IC to the Dispatch Manager.  The employer offers pay above award rates and are not particular about age if the candidate has the desired qualities.  The employer is looking for candidates that can commence ASAP.
