Sarina Russo Apprenticeships client is a 2nd generation family owned and operated business which commenced in 1980 and currently has four Builders and DIY Equipment Hire Depots in Brisbane.  They already employ three mechanics and an electrician in their workshop team. They are currently seeking an Apprentice Mechanic to join their Workshop Team. Their range of equipment includes two stroke, four stroke and diesel engines.  They have stationary equipment such as pumps, generators and pressure cleaners.  There is also a range of access equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts and cherry pickers as well as landscape equipment encompassing compaction, excavators, mini loaders and bobcats.  Plus they have a fleet of delivery vehicles including unleaded and diesel utes as well as diesel trucks, crane trucks and toilet servicing vacuum trucks.  They are proud to have a team that conducts the bulk of maintenance and repairs in-house. As an Apprentice you will learn the business 360 degrees including use of their hire and equipment management software, deliveries, collections, on site breakdowns and swap overs.  The role is extremely diverse which makes for an interesting day.  This is not your standard lawn mower shop where a first year gets stuck behind a bench sharpening chainsaw chains for hours on end.  A number of their apprentices have continued working with them for a long period then gone on to run their own repairs businesses and work in businesses related to the hire industry with similar products. They are ideally seeking the following: School Leaver (Junior candidates) Or Will consider a younger applicant as a part time school age apprentice. Manual Driver’s Licence preferred but not essential. Ability to travel to the head office based at Kelvin Grove.
